Job Description Vacancy – Software Release Engineer Location: Dublin City Centre Type: Permanent, 5 days, full time Expect Consultant: Ronan O’Reilly More information: 021-4209050 Job Profile Our client is a leading, global software provider within the engineering sector, delivering solutions and integrated applications on an open platform. Responsibilities: • Responsible for all software configuration engineering and product release tasks associated with multiple software products • Develop and maintain scripts for production builds • Monitor automated product builds and diagnose production build problems • Record and control changes in order to maintain product integrity • Maintain and archive build artifacts • Manage the release process for multiple software products • Ensure that products conform to company release criteria • Publish and maintain product builds in the product distribution system • Work closely with globally distributed product development teams • Operate under general supervision and report to the Director, Release Services Skills required: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field • Requires five years of software engineering experience preferably including relevant experience with software configuration engineering and product release management • Skilled at scripting the Windows Shell. Experience with Python, VBScript, C#, and software localization is a plus. • Experience with Agile development methodology, source code control systems, bug tracking tools, and Microsoft Office applications • Must have strong problem solving, time management, and communication skills • Must be well organized and detail-oriented. Pro-active, self-motivated, and able to work with minimum supervision. • Fluent in English. The ability to read additional languages is a plus.
